MobiTV’s Content Management Core takes the hassle out of importing and transcoding content from multiple providers. With support for delivery over cellular and broadband networks, the content can be ingested once and then encoded to all necessary formats.
Easy Content Partner Integration
MobiTV makes it easy for content providers to upload content, create packages, set rules and manage the content lifecycle. With ingest support for satellite downlink, IP and physical media, the uploading of content can be performed manually or automatically using push or pull models. In addition to capturing program content, Ingest Services are also responsible for capturing advertising assets, metadata, associated graphics and EPG guide data, as well as other types of assets such as games, etc.
In addition, content providers can implement business rules that leverage their existing workflows. For example, scheduling in advance when specific uploaded clips should be made available for playout to end users.
Robust Content & Asset Management
MobiTV’s Content Management Core keeps track of hundreds of thousands of assets that are constantly being served to clients. In addition, the system manages the encoding and bundling of assets including real-time creation of playlists for the delivery of scheduled programming to end users.
As the heart of the Content Management Core, the Asset Manager is built to be highly scalable, automatically distributing processes horizontally across multiple servers as the workload increases. In a distributed network it will also control the distribution of content in a Content Distribution Network or P2P network.
